C4D-700 Capacitively Coupled Contactless Conductivity Detector

The C4D-700 is a miniaturized conductivity detector. It is based on the simple principle. The AC voltage is not directly applied to the segment on the capillary, but coupled through two cylindrical capacitors. The resulting current is monitored and recorded. We take the current divided by the excitation voltage and get the conductivity. The main advantage of this detection method is the elimination of making any window on the capillary and very high sensitivity can be achieved for analyzing small ions which are rather difficult to be detected by UV absorption method.

The special CE Flow Cell has the same outer dimension as those for other detectors.

It works with all our autosamplers through the built-in serial connection and 12VDC power cable. With PKS Station control software and a RS232 cable (optionally USB or TCP/IP) it can also be used as a stand-alone detector.
